Unlike larger facilities, we do not charge for 'extras.' Oral medication administration, playtime, daily scholars report and guest-cam access are always included.

For the collective health of our boutique environment, all guests must have a current F3 or F4 vaccination certificate. Certificates must be emailed or uploaded at least 14 days prior to check-in. This ensures your cat’s immune system is fully prepared for their stay.
Flea, Tick, and Worming Protocols

To maintain a pristine, hygienic suite, all guests must be up-to-date with professional flea and worming treatments. Please provide the date of the last application during your inquiry. If your cat requires specialised care or daily oral medication, please include these details in your Scholar’s Report intake form so we can discuss a tailored care plan.

We exclusively host guests who are in good general health. As a one-family-at-a-time facility, we are unable to accept cats with active contagious illnesses. This strict policy is what allows us to guarantee a "Sanctuary" environment for every family that stays with us.

To maintain our quiet sanctuary environment and ensure each guest receives our undivided attention during arrivals, we operate by scheduled check-in and check-out windows.

Between our dedicated care hours, Rita maintains her research and teaching residency at the University. We thank you for adhering to the following windows to ensure a seamless transition for your feline family:
Check-In Window: From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Evening calm for settling in)
Check-Out Window: From 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Morning departures)
As our suite is exclusively reserved for one family at a time, variations from these windows may impact the next guest's sanctuary time. Stays extending outside these windows will be settled as an additional day's boarding.

Because we strictly reserve our entire boutique for only one family at a time, last-minute cancellations make it difficult to rebook our suite blocks. We enforce a firm, tiered cancellation framework to protect our sanctuary availability:

(a) To maintain our exclusive, single-family sanctuary environment, we enforce a firm, tiered cancellation framework. Notice periods are calculated based on our standard check-in time of 6:00pm.
(i) Standard Booking Periods - If your booking falls into a standard operational period, the following terms apply:
More than 30 nights’ notice: Cancellations will receive a full refund of the 50% securing deposit, minus an $80.00 administration fee.
Between 14 and 30 nights’ notice: Cancellations will receive a boutique credit valid for 6 months.
Less than 14 nights’ notice: Cancellations will forfeit the deposit in full.
(ii) Peak Holiday Booking Periods - If your booking falls into a designated peak holiday period, the following terms apply:
More than 30 nights’ notice: Cancellations will receive a full refund of the 50% securing deposit, minus a $100.00 administration fee.
Less than 30 nights’ notice: Cancellations will forfeit the deposit in full.
(i) Please note: For residencies that span across both standard periods and peak holiday blocks, the Peak Cancellation Policy terms will apply to the entire reservation.
(b) Early Departures: Although you are welcome to check your pet out early, no refunds, modifications, or credits will be issued for early collections. The full duration of the originally booked dates must be settled.
