Hi, I’m Rita. By day, I’m a Cognitive Psychology researcher (currently working on my PhD) and teacher at the University of Newcastle. By heart, I am a lifelong feline enthusiast who believes every cat deserves a truly peaceful holiday.

My background in behavioural science is the 'brain' behind The Scholar’s Feline Boutique. I understand how deeply cats are affected by their surroundings, which is why I’ve designed this sanctuary as a quiet, single-family space where they can feel completely safe.

Having spent a good portion of 2024 and 2025 pet-sitting across Europe, I’ve cared for cats of all temperaments and needs. At home, I’m a proud mum to two very spoilt Ragdolls, though they stay in their own part of the house and never cross paths with our guests.

When your cat stays with me, they aren't just being looked after; they are being understood. I bring the same care and meticulous attention to their happiness that I bring to my research, ensuring their emotional and their physical well-being is nurtured every single day.
